Friends of the Withlacoochee State Trail

Spend a day exploring and enjoying Florida’s finest rail-trail, fully supported by volunteers of The Friendliest Trail in the Country! FIRST SUNDAY IN OCTOBER Inverness Trailhead (by the Red Caboose, 2/10 mile north of historic courthouse in downtown Inverness) 315 N. APOPKA AVE. INVERNESS, FL 34450 FOR MORE INFORMATION START TIME: 7:00AM - 9:00AM (no mass start) Rain or Shine. Continental breakfast, 6:30-9. Hot lunch 11-2 at the start/finish. Century riders will find post-ride refreshments until 4 p.m. PreRegistered Riders receive commemorative ride t-shirt. See registration page on our website for cut-off date. The Withlacoochee State Trail is a 46 mile paved rail-trail. Riders determine their own ride distance. Optional Century ride is offered with an 8-mile on-trail loop at the south end of the trail. Certificates and medals will be provided upon completion of 100-mile and 100K rides. REST STOPS: Volunteers will greet you at five stops along the way, providing water, sports drinks and food. Modern restrooms are available at rest stops. All support ends at 3PM. DOOR PRIZES: Door prizes will be given to randomly selected riders only and will be available for pick up from 7AM to 4PM at the registration area on ride day.
