Crystal River Archaeological State Park

Visit WebsiteDriving Directions

This neatly mowed woodland with an Oak canopy opens up to Temple Mound A, the highest point in Crystal River, and the shore of the Crystal River.  Birds knew this was a good spot even before people.  Watch a Yellow-crowned Night Heron work the spit of beach for Fiddler Crabs or an American Bald Eagle and Osprey compete for fish over the River.   A Black and White Warbler works the branches of a Live Oak.  Plenty to see here.  Admission: $3.
