Summer Quest 2024 - News Camp

Park and Recreation is thrilled to announce an engaging opportunity for campers during our Summer Quest 2024 - News Camp.

If your child has ever expressed interest in the media industry, whether as a reporter, a photographer, or even being on the air, this is the perfect chance for them to explore their passion.

Starting on Monday, July 29, our campers will have the unique opportunity to learn what it takes to become a community news reporter. They will receive hands-on training, learning about the journalistic process and the skills required to deliver compelling news stories. On Tuesday, July 30, the focus will shift to the art of photography, where campers will learn about capturing impactful images to accompany news articles. Finally, on the last day of camp, Wednesday, July 17, campers will have the chance to experience being on the air, gaining a firsthand understanding of what it's like to present news to an audience.

Summer Quest 2024 - News Camp will run from 9 am to 2 pm. Please note that drop-off time is no earlier than 8:30 am, and pick-up time is no later than 2:30 pm.

It's important to be aware that we can only accommodate a maximum of 18 participants, so we encourage you to register your child promptly to secure their spot in this exciting program!
