Welcome! | Discover Crystal River

Welcome!

We’re glad you received your box of goodies from Discover Crystal River Florida.

We’re a destination of four small cities with a unique Florida flair you may have never experienced in your previous trips to the Sunshine State. We look forward to having you here to experience it yourself but, for now, we’d like to take you on this virtual FAM Tour:

We’ve hand-picked a few items emblematic of our destination so you can not only experience Discover Crystal River Florida virtually but viscerally. Enjoy!

Tea House 650 Tea & Manatea Infuser: Tea House 650 is a delightful Tea House in the heart of the City of Crystal River featuring over seventy varieties of tea, fresh baked scones, fresh smoothies and the perfect healthy light lunch. It’s part of the Heritage Village shopping District that features Cafe’s, a General Store and Historic Heritage House, each built in the charmingly distinctive Cracker Style of early Florida Architecture.

Cattle Dog Roasters Fresh Roasted Coffee: Believe it or not, we’re one of the few places in America without a Starbucks but that doesn’t mean we’re without great coffee. Cattle Dog Roasters is a highly successful locally based and family-owned and operated roaster with four locations in Florida’s Citrus County including cozy cafes in the historic walkable downtowns of both Inverness and Crystal River. Rest assured, you are never far from that essential cup of coffee or espresso while traveling here.

Amy’s on the Avenue Grand Truffles: Amy’s on the Avenue Boutique & Bistro anchors the junction of Crystal River’s Historic Downtown and the Kings Bay River Walk. A favorite stop for lunch, it’s renowned for its traditional Southern-style desserts including Hummingbird Cake and a unique twist on a Florida favorite: Key Lime Cake. Amy’s also features fine locally themed and tasteful gifts and, of course, an alluring case of delectable chocolate truffles.

Preserves from Ferris Groves: Ferris Groves Farm’s dominates the gently rolling hillside above Floral City Lake. Nearby, in the heart of Floral City, its iconic traditional Seasonal Florida Roadside Fruit Stand, built in the 1950s, provides the colorful entrance to Floral City itself. Fresh locally sourced Citrus abounds in winter and Fresh Ferris Berry Strawberries top freshly made pies, milkshakes, and shortcake at both the shop and springtime’s Floral City Strawberry Festival.

Other Gifts

The plush manatee, face-coverings, manatee journal, and USB Drive Media Kit (with Business Card) are all items we routinely include for FAM Tours in-destination. Even though you can’t be with us right now, we didn’t want you to miss out.

Cheers from the Manatee Capital of the World!
