Calling all Mrs. Ropers and Elvises! The Inverness Roper Romp is back, and this year the King is joining the party for the Inverness Elvis & Roper Romp! This event is a fun costumed crawl for everyone!

Grab your wigs, beads, baubles, caftans and muumuus, or suit up in your best Elvis-inspired look, and head Downtown for a colorful evening of costumes, shopping, dining and fun.

Check in at the City of Inverness tent in the cul-de-sac to receive your Downtown Passport. Visit participating Downtown businesses, take advantage of event specials and collect stamps along the way for your chance to win a gift basket featuring goodies from our Downtown merchants.

What is a Roper Romp?

A Roper Romp is a costume event inspired by Mrs. Helen Roper from the classic 1970s sitcom Three’s Company. Participants channel her unmistakable style with curly wigs, colorful caftans, oversized jewelry and plenty of personality. Roper Romps have grown into a popular phenomenon in communities across the country.

This year, we're putting a spin on the fun by adding Elvis to the mix... so whether you’re channeling Mrs. Roper or the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, come dressed to impress and get ready to romp through Downtown Inverness!
