In 1987, Tom Fazio transformed abandoned limestone quarries, with sheer 80-foot cliffs plunging into lakes, into the Quarry Course.The Quarry Course was accepted immediately as one of the best courses in the country. On the Ranch Course, he developed a pattern for the holes to flow across and through the changes in elevation, creating a dramatic and outstanding course. The Highlands Course also capitalizes on this part of Florida's unique terrain and shifting elevations.
