The annual Independence Day events held by The Cities of Homosassa, Inverness, and Crystal River have an even greater significance this year as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, and these gatherings are the perfect way to enjoy all that these small towns have to offer! Join us for live music, food, drinks, vendors, and fun for the entire family!

28th Annual Old Homosassa Fireworks Festival – June 27, Homosassa

A longtime local favorite, the annual Fireworks Festival features live music, a tug-o-war competition, a pie eating contest, and other family fun. This event is perfect for visitors bringing or renting a boat as the whole event takes place along the Homosassa River. The event ends with a stunning firework display over the Homosassa River.

Inverness Patriotic Evening – July 3, Inverness

Join us for Patriotic Evening, Inverness’ premier Independence Day celebration and a special community gathering in honor of America’s 250th Anniversary. This free, family-friendly event brings the community together for an unforgettable celebration of freedom, hometown pride, and patriotism. This event features live entertainment, food vendors, and activities, leading up to a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Henderson.

This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we honor 250 years of our nation’s history, the courage, sacrifice, and shared spirit that have shaped America from 1776 to today. Gather in Liberty Park, enjoy an evening of entertainment, and celebrate the red, white, and blue in the heart of our Small Town Done Right.

3-4:30 PM - Small Town Slam Wrestling at the Depot Pavilion

5:30 PM - Nuthin' Fancy: A Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd

7:45 PM - Hayden Coffman

9:15 PM - Fireworks over Lake Henderson

Crystal River Nights Fireworks Celebration - July 4th, 2026

Join us for the City of Crystal River's annual FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION featuring a FREE concert at Town Square 4:30pm and all kinds of vendors on Citrus Avenue for adults and kids alike. Bring your chairs for the concert but leave coolers and outside alcohol at home. Purchase great food and drinks from our downtown businesses and food vendors.

Stay after the show for the Fireworks on Kings Bay at 9pm, weather permitting. The show can be viewed from our waterfront areas around Kings Bay. This is a rain or shine event. Fireworks may be delayed or moved up slightly due to weather.
