Virtual Coffee and Conversations: Save Our Waters Week
This event has expired and is here for your information.
This is the 25th anniversary of the Save of Waters Week program and we are excited to bring Quinn Zacharias to Citrus County. Quinn is a 6th year-student working on a combined masters and undergraduate program in engineering at the University of Florida. Mr. Zacharias is a Roy Likins scholar for the American Water Association and a research fellow for the University of Florida’s Institute for Food and Agricultural Science (UF-IFAS). His presentation will discuss Florida’s most pressing water-related issues as well as providing cutting-edge ideas to address these issues.
Coffee and Conversations Speakers Series continues in August 2020 as the result of a generous grant from the Florida Humanities Council. Of course, in the age of COVID-19, safety is still a top priority. All the following programs will have limited in-person spots to ensure social distancing and a live virtual broadcast for the folks at home. In-person guests will be limited to the first thirty registrants. Spaces are first come, first served.
You can register online at www.cchistoricalsocietyshop.com for free or by calling 352-341-6428. When you register you will be asked if you prefer the live or virtual event. All guests are required to wear a mask while in the building. If you do not have a mask one can be provided to you. The virtual event will be hosted through GoToMeeting and the link for the event will be emailed to you upon registration
