Sea Education Adventures (SEA)

Sea Education Adventures Manatee Encounter program is designed to provide an appreciation for the Florida Manatee.The program includes an informative slide presentation introducing the life history of the Manatee as well as Florida’s guidelines for in-water Manatee encounters. Following the presentation, participants will be fitted for wet-suits and issued equipment including mask, fins and snorkel. Participants only need bring a swimsuit, towel and warm clothes to change into once they’re out of the water. After a short boat ride, participants will have an opportunity to enter the water and snorkel face-to-face with these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Crystal River is home to the largest wintering population of Florida Manatees, so participants are sure to have a most exciting and once in a lifetime opportunity! Sea Education Adventures Manatee Encounter Program is both educational and exciting, and we hope you can join us for a first hand experience with these gentle giants A great side-trip is a visit to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park with its educational seminars on both the Manatee and the Florida Alligator.
